Challenge Yourself!
Don't know what to do but you know you like photography? Create a challenge for yourself that will last a certain amount of time. 1 week? 30 days? 100 days?
During your challenge you could choose to do the same type of task every day.
Photographer Kevin Day has photographed the same tree every day for over five years.
"This wonderful old tree is unchanging over the years and yet I can take hundreds of photos of it during the seasons and very few of them look the same. It is all about the change around the constant."
OR
Give yourself a different challenge every day. Create your own challenges, have a friend or teacher suggest options, or use a set of challenges you find online like this one.
In high school, one of my favorite projects was to list a word for each letter of the alphabet. I then created a photograph that represented each word. Some were literal and some were very symbolic.
Questions to Consider:
How will you document your work?
How could your work document time?
What will this series say about you?
How will you share or display your final product?
