Creating Through Covid-19: Week 2

It is supposed to be a beautiful week and time to get outside! Don't forget to share what you make!

Activity #1: Chalk it Out!

Get outside and spread some art love on the sidewalks and driveways. Draw whatever you want, but make the intention to spread some beauty and positivity! Write your favorite quotes, make some hearts for healthcare workers, draw something springy!

Activity #2: Nature Art, Inspired by Andy Goldsworthy

Andy Goldsworthy is the artist who first make nature art popular. He collects items from the world around him and arranges them in a particular way. These pieces are meant to be temporary. You could make them in your yard or a public place like a park. Make sure you don't harm nature in any way during your creating process.

Activity #3: Binge Watch Artists on Art21

PBS has an awesome and free streaming series about contemporary artists. All of these artists are living today and creating contemporary works of art. It is very interesting to hear them talk about their artwork and also see them in the process of creating.
